Waiting till the dusky dawn
As the sun sets and the sky turns red
I open my arms in the open sky, spread my hands to touch the breezy air
and move around to hold my love, and today he's not here
He's out there near the window wearing his funky headphones and figuring out his day
I wish I could pull him out of the screen to see the sunset with him
my hands are getting dry in the cold winter and I wish to hold his hand while he is snuggling in his sweatshirt
the day will come when he will learn to give time to himself and us and eventually be home soon to grab a cup of tea with sunset and grab me in his arms and loving me through the scars
